A roguelike card battler where every choice counts.
Equip weapons, fight monsters, and heal your way to victory—or perish trying.
How to Play
- Gameplay: Each room presents four cards, but you can only interact with three before moving on.
- Combat: Choose between attacking with weapons or fighting bare-handed for direct damage.
- Weapons: Absorb damage based on weapon level, weapons can only attack monsters lower than the last attacked monster.
- Healing: Health potions heal you, but only once per room. Drinking another potion has no effect. Heal wisely.
- Running: Use the crank to escape—but not twice in a row! Fled cards return later.
- Survival: Make it through every room to claim victory, or fall to the dungeon’s horrors.
Controls
- D-Pad: Move between cards
- A: Select / Attack with Weapon
- B: Attack bare-handed
- Crank: Run from the room
Do you have what it takes to outwit the dungeon and survive?

A fun yet tricky pick-up-and-play! It's a little hard to make out what some of the cards are (though I think that may be a limitation of the hardware rather than the image design) but I'm learning. Nice use of the crank to run from a room! I haven't heard of Scoundrel before I saw this - I'm glad this came first because I don't think I'd remember what's what in a normal playing card deck anyway so thank you, Spellthorn, for making this physical-to-digital port a thing! :)
I'm glad you're enjoying it. Yea some of them are harder to make out just due to the images had a lot of background environments too which makes it more jumbled together. After a few plays you'll know a lot of them or at least I hope so. A lot of the spades have spade images in them but some are hard to make out due to so small and the clubs are the bigger rock monsters. I tried to make the weapons stand out the most and then potions since the monsters don't really matter which kind. Good luck on getting a few wins and thanks again for getting my game 😊
Yes, I noticed some of the monsters were Spade shaped! That's a really cool visual element 😊
Thank you for the luck - I still have a ways to go before winning (my current best is like a 4-room streak) lol But I look forward to seeing your victory screen one of these days!
You're welcome but the purchase was really a little thank-you gesture for your help over on the dev forum! Between that and your pong tutorial, I think you're kind and well spoken so I'm glad to give you some support 😊
Awww well I really do appreciate it I was super shocked when I got a sale and I was like. How do I thank the person that got it I don't know who they are, so glad you commented. Yes I wish you all the luck to get a victory. It's hard but fun, makes the victory feel so much better lol. I had to delete my data a few times due to testing game etc I think I've won like 4 times so far out of a lot of plays haha
Please let me know when you finally win 😊
